The Scottsdale Classic Quarter Horse Show is coming to Westworld in Scottsdale from September 27-October 3. Horse and riders from around the country and abroad will come to Scottsdale to compete for points, prizes and over $140,000 in cash awards during the seven days of competition. Horses and riders compete in just about every discipline offered in the horse world including reining, western riding, hunter under saddle and trail, to name a few.
Started in 2002, The Scottsdale Classic is celebrating 10 years in operation this year and they are planning many special events to celebrate. They have added more classes, prizes and awards for horses and riders. For spectators, the Scottsdale Classic offers a wide variety of food, entertainment, and shopping that will please horse lovers but also those that are new to the horse show experience. The Scottsdale Classic is open to the public and they encourage you to come out and give it a try, you will most definitely be impressed by some of the most talented riders and beautiful horses in the world.
In addition to seeing the horse show, when you come out to Westworld you will be able to see the progress that has been made on the $42 million expansion that the City of Scottsdale approved. This 3-year project is going to expand the facility with climate-controlled arenas and state of the art stalls, making this the premiere equestrian facility in the country.
