The Southeast Valley is comprised of six cities: Tempe, Mesa, Chandler, Gilbert, Queen Creek and San Tan Valley. Each of these cities has its own distinct flavor. Tempe, home to Arizona State University, is a college town and is popular with young professionals, yet is also family-friendly due to its wealth of parks and planned communities. Mesa, the third largest city in Arizona, has a unique historical background which is reflected in its diverse community. Chandler is one of the Valley’s newer cities, but it’s becoming a popular destination thanks to its high-tech industry as well as lots of shopping and entertainment opportunities. Neighboring Gilbert, has a more rural charm, with its agricultural beginnings in the forefront of this small city. Queen Creek has the feel of a small town, but with quick access to the amenities of nearby big cities. San Tan Valley is located among the foothills of the San Tan Mountains and is a perfect destination for fitness enthusiasts and people of all ages.
