Head over to Tempe this weekend for the inaugural Innings Festival at Tempe Beach Park. The three-day concert event is a co-production of Major League Baseball and C3 Presents (the same group who run Lollapalooza). More than 45,000 people are expected to attend the three-day event featuring rock, pop and country performances from over 30 artists on three stages, culinary demos, food vendors, as well as fun family activties and appearances by professional baseball players!
“The Innings Festival is the perfect combination of music, baseball and the amazing location of Tempe Town Lake and downtown Tempe,” says Tempe Mayor Mark Mitchell. “Thousands of Cactus League fans – locals and visitors alike – will be able to come to experience the gorgeous weather, beautiful setting, great food and awesome music. We are excited to welcome performers of this caliber and their fans to celebrate this first ever Innings Fest and we look forward to making this an annual event.”
Headliners scheduled to appear are Queens of the Stone Age, The Avett Brothers, and Chris Stapleton, Chris Stapleton, Counting Crows, Young the Giant, The Decemberists and more! The Innings Festival is the new “can’t-miss” celebration for music lovers and passionate baseball fans. The baseball-themed festival will also have baseball activities including a speed-pitch test, batting cages and a home run derby challenge.
