Golf, concerts, football and people watching. Welcome to January in Scottsdale near Grayhawk. The Super Bowl is not the only game in town this week as the 2015 Waste Management Open is about to begin at TPC Scottsdale. Running from January 26th- February 1, this stop on the PGA tour welcomes big names that will be competing for a $6.2 million purse, with first place taking home $1.1 million. In addition to the Pro-Am, this year will feature a military career event, a junior golf clinic and more. Golf might be the main event, but there is much more than just golf. Of course there will be the ever popular Coors Light Birds Nest, a 21 and over entertainment tent that will showcase concerts from Kid Rock, Darius Rucker, Capital Cities and AfroJack.
This year over 500,000 people are expected to attend along with a “revamped” 16th hole with a new loge section, 200 sky-boxes, and 5,000 general admission seats.
