The Foodie Faire is serving up gourmet eats for a good cause. The “picnic on wheels” will take place Sunday, Nov. 23, 2014, from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Kierland Commons in Scottsdale. In addition to the nine gourmet food trucks and a dessert truck, there will be a silent auction, live entertainment and kid’s activities. The event proceeds will aid Arizona Friends of Foster Care Children’s (AFFCF) mission to enrich the lives and build the self-esteem of children in the foster care system.
This is AFFCF’s third year hosting the Foodie Faire. Participating food trucks this year include: Grilled Addiction, Chef Wade’s Bistro on Wheels, The Roasted Shallot, Paletas Betty, Buzz-n-Beez Good Food, Aji Mobile Foods, One Eighty Q, Mama Toledo’s Pie Truck, Emerson Fry Bread and Sweet Magnolia Smokehouse. Musical entertainment will be provided by the Bucket Baker Trio and there will be children’s games and arts and crafts throughout the afternoon.
