Since 1905, the Arizona State Fair has been providing entertainment for young and old alike. It is the state’s largest festival, attracting over 1 million guests annually to rank as the 3rd highest attended state fair in the country and in the top 15 of North American Fairs.
I can’t decide if the rides at the fair or the food is my favorite! There will be nine new food vendors at this year’s fair. (Don’t worry, favorites like the deep-fried chocolate and corn dogs, and turkey legs are still there!) A few of the new food vendors are:
Popcorn Factory- this vendor will have 50 flavors of gourmet popcorn.
Drink a Fruit From A Fruit- this vendor will have fruit-flavored drinks where the fruit’s shell becomes the glass. Think pineapple, coconut, and watermelon.
Baja Lobster- Lobster mac and cheese, lobster fries and lobster dogs.
The nightly concerts are another part of the state fair experience that attracts many (including my family!) The concerts are included with that day’s general admission, but reserved seating can be purchased at an additional cost and well worth it in my opinion. This year’s concert lineup includes DNCE, Billy Currington, Halestorm, Snoop Dogg, Randy Houser, Marilyn Manson, Gin Blossoms and Rick Springfield.
The Arizona State Fair is open Wednesdays & Thursdays noon-9pm, Fridays noon-10pm, Saturdays 11am-10pm and Sunday 11am-9pm (closed Mondays & Tuesdays) through October 28th, 2018.
Admission Prices: Kids (5-13yrs) $7, Adults (14yrs+) $10, Seniors (55+) $7, Kids under 5 yrs are free
