Batter up! Spring training games begin in Arizona on Friday, February 24th with the Mariners at the Padres and the Rangers at the Royals.
Saturday, February 25th is the first full day on the 2023 Cactus League spring training schedule with the Angeles at Mariners, Giants at Cubs, Padres and White Sox, Royals at Rangers, Dodgers at Brewers, Guardians at Reds and split-squad Diamondbacks teams playing at the Athletics and hosting the Rockies!
The Arizona Diamondbacks (as well as the Colorado Rockies) call Salt River Fields in Scottsdale “home field” during Spring Training season. Salt River Fields, located at 7555 N. Pima Road in Scottsdale, opened in 2011. Salt River Fields is a fan favorite because there isn’t a bad seat in the house.
The grassy area in the outfield is expansive, even when it’s crowded. The facility was built for optimum shade, but since the sun is always shining in Scottsdale, don’t forget to pack your sunscreen. Not only does the stadium allow amazing views of the game, it also has amazing views of the McDowells, Four Peaks to Red Mountain for fans to enjoy.
