Christmas in Carefree is a community celebration for the entire family to create memories throughout the month of December. Take time to stroll the elegantly decorated four acre Carefree Desert Gardens during the day or night, and visit Santa every weekend before Christmas!
The Town of Carefree is an official “stop” for Santa who is checking his list twice to see if you’ve been naughty or nice! Join Santa at his “workshop” at the Sanderson Lincoln Pavilion on December 2nd from 9am-11 am. Create ornaments, decorate holiday cookies, color a stocking, and play reindeer games. Only $5 per child. Supplies provided and all proceeds go directly to support the Desert Foothills YMCA.
The 10th Annual Parade of Holiday Traditions will be held on Easy Street December 9th at 10 am. The annual parade is presented by the Chamber of Commerce this will be the kick-off to an exciting festival weekend with the opening of the Snow Village, Santa, fireworks and more!
The Town of Carefree is partnering with the Desert Foothills YMCA to help support Teen Leadership programs by selling Luminaria Tribute bags for $10 to be lighted and displayed in the Carefree Desert Gardens every evening from December 15th–24th. Decorate your bag to celebrate a cherished memory or the life of a loved one and return to the town and we will make sure your masterpiece has a place in the Garden. A portion of the proceeds will go to the Teen Leaders program at the YMCA providing opportunities for youth.
