The Herb Box is located on Market Street in DC Ranch nestled at the foot of the magnificent McDowell Mountains. This popular farm-to-table themed bistro features artisan salads, gourmet wraps, market fresh sandwiches, flatbread pizzas and assorted entrees and desserts. There is also an extensive list of boutique wines and interesting beers.
The menu is packed with dishes that have put The Herb Box on the map. My favorite is the Market Sunflower Salad. This salad blackened chicken, goat cheese, bacon, dried strawberry, blueberry and sunflower seeds. The Grilled Chicken and Sage Pesto sandwich is another favorite. Don’t miss the signature enchiladas with a tomatillo sauce (for you vegetarians, this one is for you, and it’s gluten-free, as well). Be sure to visit The Herb Box for breakfast and sit on the patio while you sip on your espresso with your house-made pastry.
While you are there, be sure to visit the Herb Box Market, a “food boutique” concept that offers people a sophisticated that features and extensive array of freshly prepared meals and desserts and a collection of unique beer, wine and cheeses. Whether you are shopping for a family dinner or a picking up a few goodies for a cocktail party, the market is a must see.
