The Grayhawk Hiking Club is ready to enjoy the cool fall weather with many hikes planned! To participate, Grayhawk residents must first join the club online (www.meetup.com/Grayhawk-HikingClub/). On the website, residents can review many other upcoming hikes and email the organizers with questions.
Gooseneck/Rock Knob Loop in the McDowell Preserve
Saturday, November 9th at 8am
Join the Hiking Club for a moderate 8 mile hike in the McDowell Sonoran Preserve. This loop hike is ideal for hikers with some experience and has an estimated hiking time of approximately 3-4 hours.
Brown’s Ranch
Saturday, November 9th at 8am
Join the Hiking Club for the third in a series of beginner hikes in the Brown’s Ranch Area. This 4.5 mile round trip hike is ideal for folks brand new to hiking and will traverse the Browns Ranch Road, Corral and Maverick trails in a lollipop loop. Estimated hiking time is approximately 2 hours.
Dreamy Draw in the Phoenix Preserve
Saturday, November 16th at 8am
Join the Hiking Club for an easy 4.5 mile double loop hike in the Phoenix Preserve. This easy/moderate hike is pleasant for beginner or experienced hikers. Estimated hiking time is approximately 2 hours.
Lost Goldmine in the Superstitions Wilderness
Saturday, November 23rd start time TBD
Join the Hiking Club for a strenuous 10 mile out and back hike on the Lost Goldmine trail in the Superstition Wilderness. In addition to the one hour drives to and from the trailhead, estimated hiking time is approximately 4-5 hours. This strenuous hike is for experienced hikers only.
