What can you expect when Memorial Day coincides with Butterfly Wonderland’s annual birthday celebration? Red, white and blue butterflies of course!
Throughout the Happy 3rd Birthday celebration May 28-30th, the indoor butterfly atrium will be host to patriotically colored butterflies, butterfly princess visits, ice cream food trucks, bounce houses and live music! The facility was built three years ago on the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community land and is North America’s largest indoor butterfly atrium.
During the birthday celebration, guests will see Postman, a type of red butterfly; Blue Morpho, a popular breed of blue butterfly and Florida White, White Morpho and Paper Kite, species of white butterflies. In the Conservatory from 11am-4pm live music will be performed by Native American flutist Aaron White, progressive ambient stylist Scott Schaefer, and Mark Bensette Aux Bois performing the wood flute, didgeridoo, guitar and harp.
