Every weekend, Arizonans flock to their local farmers markets in search of the healthy, locally grown foods that stem from these communities. There here are many markets to choose from, here are a few of our favorites around the valley.
FARMERS MARKET AT HIGH STREET
This north Phoenix farmers market takes up a full block of High Street, an upscale mixed-use development, and transforms it into a bustling market once a week. Look for vendors selling vegetables, barbecue sauce, kettle corn, pastries, pickles, children’s clothing and home decor.

SCOTTSDALE ARIZONA FARMERS MARKET
This market in Old Town Scottsdale has evolved into a weekly food festival, with demonstrations to show you how to prepare things farmers are selling. You’ll find dozens of farmers, ranchers and vendors selling coffee, vegan desserts, cheese, crostini, pasta, candy, tamales, soups, wild-caught Alaskan seafood, hummus, tomatoes, spicy pickles, grass-fed lamb, microgreens, frozen entrees, bread and more.

CAREFREE COMMUNITY FARMERS MARKET
Look for tiny, delicious microgreens from Arizona Microgreens and beautiful, full-grown produce from On the Vine Farms at this weekly market. There’s also homemade baklava, dried pichuberries, marmalade, cosmetics, bracelets and drinkable herbal remedies.

FOUNTAIN HILLS FARMERS MARKET
Beef steaks, hard-to-find seasonings from Go Lb. Salt, jam from Grandma Patti’s Kitchen and gourmet popcorn from Gypsy Jane’s are just a few of the things you’ll find at this weekly festival in Fountain Hills. Eat while you shop and visit vendors making grilled cheese and other dishes. Held in conjunction with Art on the Avenue, an artist showcase.

GILBERT FARMERS MARKET
Marvel at the spectrum of Arizona’s bounty at this year-round market in downtown Gilbert, just west of the water tower. Find produce from Crooked Sky Farms, sustainable beef from Double Check Ranch, hot sauce from Cutino Sauce Co., artisan chocolates from M&J Chocolate Couture and Old World breads from Noble Bread.
