The Southwestern deserts contain some of the most unique natural landscapes in the world and this weekend Carefree Desert Gardens will present a plant expert who can help you with all of your native landscaping needs. Native plants are being lost to development at an alarming rate, and this series will educate on how to blend some of the desert’s natural beauty into one’s own landscape. When we incorporate natives into planned landscapes, we can restore a small part of the desert ecosystem. With our extended drought conditions throughout the Southwest, there is no better time to learn about designing our home landscapes to be eco-friendly. The Native Plant Seminar is at 9:30 am on Saturday, April 18 at the Carefree Town Council Chambers, 100 Easy Street. A $5 donation is suggested, but not required.
