The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess is hosting a four day, family friendly 4th of July event this year. The Fourth of July Freedom Festival taking place from Saturday, June 30th through July 3rd this year, is featuring fun for the whole family. Located in the North Scottsdale, Arizona this luxury resort has something for everyone.

Nightly entertainment, a fly over from the Deer Valley War Birds or Blackhawks and fireworks displays will sure to delight adults and kids alike. Not to mention the resort has fabulous pools with slides, Bobcat Billy’s clubhouse to watch and entertain the kids and poolside activities. All this while Mom and Dad can take advantage of the Willow Stream Spa or just enjoy a book by the pool. Rates begin at $179.00 per night.

» If you are looking for something indoors to beat the heat then check out the MIM: Musical Instrument Museum. They will be having a tour to discover the “World of Musical Journey’s” on July 4th at 11:30 and 2:30. Located just off the 101 in North Scottsdale, this musical, hands on museum will highlight the various cultures, North Scottsdale Real Estate and interesting instruments from all over the world. Tickets for 5 and under are free, $10 for 6-17, $13 for over 65 and $15 for all others.

» Of course there are the usual fireworks displays going on all over town, if you drive about 20 minutes west from the North Scottsdale on the 101 you can catch the July 4th All American Festival beginning at 5pm at the Peoria Sports Complex. This annual event (taking place on 4th of July) will feature live entertainment, a water zone for the kids, hot dog eating contest, games and other family activities. Capping off the evening will be a fireworks display at around 9:15pm. Admission is $5, children 12 and under are free, and so is parking!
