lederhosenThe Hills are alive, Fountain Hills, that is. The annual Oktoberfest 2015 will kick off the season on September 25th and 26th at 5 pm in Fountain Park located at 12925 Fountain Hills Blvd.  Fountain Hills mayor Linda Kavanagh will officially open the celebration with the tapping of the ceremonial keg. This authentic German tradition will feature a band flown in from Germany, brats, apple strudel, pretzels and beer brewed in Germany. This years beer varieties include the traditional Oktoberfest Beir, Pilsner, Dunkel, and Warsteiners award winning Hefeweizen. In additions, there will be a Alphorn blowing contest, beer drinking competitions, a kids section with inflatable bounce houses, slides and face painting and much more. Oktoberfest is $5 but you get in free if you wear your Drindl or Lederhosen. Come on, we know you have some!
