A family owned and operated business since 1969, they teach city slickers how to be a real cowboy and help you experience life on a working ranch. It is the only school of its kind in the world, and it goes beyond just an ordinary dude ranch. Never been on a horse before? No problem. They will not only teach you to ride, but you can learn how to herd and rope cattle in their quarterly round-ups. You will learn about all facets of Western riding such as basic horsemanship, trail, gymkhana, reining, ranch/cattle work, and even shoeing. The Arizona Cowboy College offers programs varying
from one-day sessions to full week sessions with three-day sessions in between. All sessions offer meals during the program, and the programs lasting more than one day offer accommodations in the bunkhouse. They also offer a summer kids program and private or group lessons.
