If you’ve travelled on Scottsdale Road south of the 101 Freeway in the past few years, you’ve undoubtedly noticed the burgeoning outdoor mall that is the Scottsdale Quarter. Designed around a “main street” concept, this popular area is home to several retailers, restaurants and office space. This mixed-use development began in the spring of 2009, to the tune of $270 million. Along Scottsdale Road, the buildings feature 4-stories, with retail stores on the first floor and office space above.
Some of the larger retailers anchoring the Scottsdale Quarter are the Apple store, West Elm, Restoration Hardware, the Gap, Nike, Sephora, Pottery Barn, Urban Outfitters and Lululemon Athletica. Several smaller boutiques and locally-owned stores also dot this mall, making for a fun-filled retail experience. One of the newer arrivals to Scottsdale Quarter is Arizona’s first American Girl store, which boasts a café where children can dine with their dolls, and a salon where they can have their doll’s hair done in whichever hairstyle they desire.
This 1.2 million square foot shopping center is also host to several restaurants and eateries, including BRIO Tuscan Grille, Dominick’s Steakhouse, Eddie V’s Prime Seafood, Grimaldi’s Pizzeria, Juby True, Le Macaron, Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt, Press Coffee, SOL Mexican Cocina, Sorso Wine Room, Tanzy, True Food Kitchen and Zinburger. Several more restaurants are slated to open in the coming months, so there’s sure to be something new to tempt your tastebuds.
If you’re in need of beauty services be sure to check out Dolce Salon & Spa, Drybar, LaserAway and Skin Laundry. And Scottsdale Quarter is also home to several options for accessories and jewelry, including Galicia Fine Jewelers, Kendra Scott Jewelry, LensCrafters, Pandora, Paris Optique, Sunglass Hut and Warby Parker.
Entertainment options include the luxe I-Pic theater where movie viewers can enjoy in-seat dining. Perhaps stop by It’s Sugar for a fun treat after the show? Make Meaning is a fun experience for those of all ages, thanks to the endless amount of crafts shoppers can make onsite, from painting pottery to creating candles and soap to cake decorating Children (and their parents) will also enjoy the misting systems throughout the mall, as well as the exciting splash pad in the “Quad”. Visiting the splash pad at night is a double-thrill thanks to the mini-light show.
