The 29th annual Sunday A’Fair starts January 10th, 2016. The energetic event, put on by the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts, brings free concerts, an arts and crafts market and family-friendly activities to Scottsdale Civic Center Park. The series takes place on select Sundays through April 3rd featuring local musicians and bands each week. Sunday A’Fair kicks off this weekend with performances from Nancy McCallion and The Scarlet Lettermen, a rockabilly/American roots group, and Big Nick and the Gila Monsters, a blues group from Phoenix that has been together since 1993!
The concert series showcases performers from a variety of genres to appeal to am array of audiences. Audiences will hear blues, funk, soul, acoustic, R&B, Latin jazz, country/rock and Celtic rock. In addition to music, the Sunday A’Fair also includes an arts and crafts fair with ceramics, textiles, packaged foods, T-shirts, paintings and jewelry from Arizona artists and vendors.
Admission to the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art is free from noon to 5 pm during the A’Fair. Docent-led tours of the park’s public sculptures start at 3 pm at the north doors of the center.
