The Musical Instrument Museum near Desert Ridge is a unique museum that opened its doors to the world 5 years ago and is the largest global musical instrument museum. Visitors can see, hear and handle musical instruments from around the globe. With over 15,000 objects, they have one of the largest collections of rare and historical instruments in the world. The MIM will celebrate with a fun festival this weekend, Saturday April 25th and Sunday April 26th with “Experience MIM”. The celebration will include festivities featuring some of their favorite performers and activities. There will be special exhibition talks such as Beyond the Beat: Drums for the World, musical performances all weekend, Gallery Talks, and themed menu items in the museum’s restaurant, Café Allegro, a photo booth, face painting, and more.
