At the northernmost mouth of the Valley lies Anthem, a small population of 21,700 nestled in the mountain ranges at the top of Maricopa county. Just 10 square miles at the foot of Daisy Mountain, Anthem is a relatively brand new Del Webb community developed in 1998. Kids living in the area will enjoy the massive central playground, a must-see to go along with the dozens of sports leagues and recreation activities offered by the community. Though still in the desert, Anthem benefits from slightly cooler temperatures than the main Valley, with occasional snowfall thanks to an elevation of 1900 feet.
The community consists of six neighborhoods: Country Club, Parkside, Villages, The Landings, Paseo and Arroyo Grande. Residents enjoy several amenities throughout the community including parks, clubhouses, two championship 18-hole golf course as well as nearby businesses and restaurants.
Anthem Golf & Country Club is a jewel nestled in the gated resort style community, The Country Club. Residents enjoy state of the art fitness center, heated pools, tennis courts, clubhouses, dining rooms and two championship golf courses.
