DC Ranch EventsComing up at the Ranch this month is the DC Ranch Women Luncheon. This is a monthly event that takes place at The Country Club at DC Ranch Thursday, May 9th. This event is open to women of all ages, and year-round social opportunities include: luncheons, happy hours, facilitated discussions and occasional interactive outings.

On Market Street Plaza, also on Thursday May 9th, the DC Ranch Community Council will host Latin-American artist group Xico for Passport to Art: Artist Expo. This is a free event that will feature artists that will create acrylic pieces inspired by American Southwest Heritage. Stroll through the original artwork displays for purchase, while listening to the live music of Mosaico, while sipping your glass of wine from the cash bar. Proceeds for this event will benefit Xico.

Friday May 10th will be the final installment of the Starlight Concert Series in Market Street Park. Top 80’s cover band, Rock Lobster, will be bringing the crowd to their feet. Bring blankets, chairs, and a picnic dinner from home.

Wednesday the 15th, it’s Yappy Hour for pets and their people at the Homestead Community Center. This is a social evening for dogs and their owners, complete with complimentary wine and beer, doggy photo shoots, and a door-prize. Lap up the fun!

The Fourth Annual Criterium at DC Ranch kicks off Sunday May 19th in Canyon Village. The 1K “Crit” is a a bike race on a short, closed course, with speed and intensity appreciably higher that traditional races. Kids and family fun races, and the opportunity to register for the Tour De Scottsdale will be available too. Register for races at WMRC.org.
