Did you know every summer hundred of youths from DC Ranch and the greater Scottsdale and Phoenix area converge at The Homestead Community Center for a series of week-long camps hosted by Workshops for Youth and Families. The award winning program was gifted by founder Dr. Frances Mills-Yerger to noMYkid in December. Although Workshops for Youth and Families closed its operations, the popular signature programs will be continued to be offered by notMYkid. The programs will continue to use the same name, as well continue to focus on social and emotional learning.
“Teaming up with notMYkid has been a real gift to both organizations. We now have even more strength to give kids the tools to empower themselves and help one another,” from an excited Mills-Yerger, affectionately known to the kids as Dr. Franny. And no need to worry, Dr. Franny fans, she will continue as Master Facilitator for the programs at DC Ranch.
