In 2016 new Community Standards were approved in DC Ranch. The Standards were developed by resident driven committees and staff, including input from town hall meetings. The process benefited from a spectrum of perspectives and collective opinions. The new Standards are intended to foster and preserve the physical beauty and harmony of DC Ranch, while protecting home values and ensuring clearly written guidelines for the community.
Over the last two years, DC Ranch residents have consistently demonstrated their support for the Standards. Yet, the community’s work on the Standards is never done. For example, revisions were made this year prohibiting the use of drones in residential areas. In 2019, the Community Standards for Homes and Landscapes will be reviewed. There are over 2700 homes in DC Ranch, so it is important to monitor standards.
