North Scottsdale residents have endured months of construction at the busy intersection of Hayden Road and Northsight Blvd, but that construction is finally coming to an end as the $8 million roundabout project is completed this week. According to transportation experts, a roundabout has less travel time than a typical traffic signal therefore traffic should move at a more steady and even pace, if not faster. The Scottsdale Airpark is considered one of the most congested areas in North Scottsdale and local businesses hope that the new roundabout will relieve the heavy traffic in the area and make it easier for drivers to get to where they need to be.
