Once again, Maricopa County saw the largest population increase of any county in the nation last year. An additional 81,244 residents are calling Maricopa County “home”. This makes eight straight years of growth according to numbers recently released by the Census Bureau. Maricopa remains the fourth largest county in the US, with an estimated population of 4,410,824. The county has added 593,707 people, a 15.6% increase, since the last complete census in 2010. Furthermore, there was a 122,770-person increase in Arizona’s population since last year. Arizona’s population is now 7.17 million according to the bureau’s yearly population estimates for counties and metro areas.
