New Security Measure at The McDowell Mountain Skate Park
The McDowell Mountain Skate Park is widely popular with skaters in the North Scottsdale area. For the most part, it has been a very successful park that kids have enjoyed for 5 years without any problems. However, residents might be happy to know that in an effort to keep kids safe at the skate park, the city has installed a gated monitoring device to help control inappropriate activity including vandalism, bullying, loitering and graffiti. The system will go live July 15 and will charge $1 per visit or $26 flat fee for 6 months.
