The Desert Foothills Scenic Drive was created fifty years ago to protect, preserve and create tourist interest in our beautiful desert vistas. As part of the re-insurgence of beautifying this Scenic Drive, Scottsdale is undergrounding utilities along the drive. The Friends of the Scenic Drive (a corps of volunteers that works to preserve and enhance the Desert Foothills Scenic Drive) is now seeking help from Scottsdale and Phoenix residents to help restore their section of the Scenic Drive.
