Arcadia residents! Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts, located at 7380 E. Second Street, will open its free Sunday A’Fair outdoor concert series on Sunday, Jan. 12, with performances by Walt Richardson and Dry River Yacht Club from noon to 4 p.m. Ten concerts showcasing more than 20 musical acts are scheduled for selected Sunday afternoons through April 6. The 2014 Sunday A’Fair concert schedule is available Scottsdale center for the Arts.org. Now in its 27th season, Sunday A’Fair is a free afternoon mini-festival that takes place on the beautiful grounds of Scottsdale Civic Center Park, adjacent to Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts. Each Sunday A’Fair features two bands along with a fine arts and crafts market, fun activities for kids and free admission to Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art. Guests are welcome to bring blankets, lawn chairs and picnic baskets and enjoy a relaxing afternoon of great entertainment with friends and family. Exhibiting artists will display handmade jewelry, ceramics, paintings and more. Delicious foods from the grill, and cocktails, beer, wine and soft drinks also will be available for purchase. Free guided tours of SMoCA will be offered at 1:30 p.m. and of the sculptures in the park at 3 p.m. A number of bands will be returning to Sunday A’Fair by popular demand, including the Alice Tatum Quartet on Jan. 23, Mogollon on Feb. 16, Cold Shott and the Hurricane Horns on March 9 and Big Nick and the Gila Monsters on March 23. Making their Sunday A’Fair debuts will be the Dry River Yacht Club on Jan. 12 and Teneia Sanders on Feb. 9.
