Valentines Day Picnic in North Scottsdale

Looking for something different to do this Valentines Day? Luckily, here in sunny Scottsdale, we can have a picnic just about any day of the year. Why go to a crowded restaurant where you might have to wait hours for a table? A picnic is a very romantic way to eat. There are no interruptions, its just you and your sweetheart. Not sure how to get started? We are here to help. You can buy a basic picnic basket at a store like Target. Make sure it includes bread, cheese, maybe some smoked turkey, champagne and some brownies or maybe some nice chocolate covered strawberries. You can get those at AJ Fine Foods in the DC Ranch area. If you want to go a bit more gourmet, you might have to step it up a little but it would be much appreciated by your valentine. You could try caviar on toast, Lobster, imported cheeses, artisian breads and specialty chocolates. And of course, Dom Perignon Champagne. Don’t forget water or soda, and a constellation chart would be a nice touch for star gazing.

Now that you have your meal picked out, where should you go? Well, there are no shortage of parks in our area. Many parks close at sunset, so be sure to check before you go. But some suggestions for parks with romantic views are George “Doc” Cavalliere Park near Troon North, DC Ranch has several neighborhood parks, Pinnacle Peak Park and Thompson Peak Park. Happy Valentines Day!sweethearts
