I can’t tell you how many times I’ve spoken to home buyers that are looking for a new home in North Scottsdale. Usually they would take an updated home, but “New Homes” sound much better than “Updated Home”.
Since most of North Scottsdale was built 1995-2005 we’re in the zone where there is a dichotomy of houses; original vs remodels. Remodels often times can be as good as new; new roof, new ac, new cabinets, bathrooms, countertops, hot water heater, etc. However, it’s not actually a newly built house.
From 2008-2012 we saw home building stop. Land wasn’t selling, lots weren’t being developed. The industry literally dried up. Well… time cures all. The resale market started to cleanse all the short sales and foreclosures and the normal sellers started to come back to the marketplace. Since the “resurgence” of normality, new homes started to show up again.
We have over a dozen new home communities in north Scottsdale, with more as you extend into Cave Creek, Carefree, and North Phoenix.
