The City of Scottsdale published this Scottsdale Airport noise map that I found over on the Department of Real Estate’s website. Kind of interesting to see the reach of their “air space” via 2001. The map is a throw-back. It doesn’t even show the 101 freeway. After living hear for over 10 years, I can tell you areas around 68th St and Thunderbird get the most noise. McDowell Mountain Ranch can see the planes coming in, but they are still pretty high up.
During my neighborhood tour I talk about the airport and point out the neighborhoods that are most affected by the Scottsdale Airport noise.
