Cochise Elementary School is located at 9451 N. 84th Place. This highly favored elementary school is a PK, K-5 school serving approximately 623 students.
Cochise Elementary School, home of the Bobcats, has an Arizona Excelling School rating from the Department of Education, as well as being ranked highly under the No Child Left Behind Federal initiative. This exceptional elementary school boasts of a “Distinguished” Great Schools rating. The Great Schools rating of “Distinguished” has only been given to a few public elementary schools in Arizona.
Cochise Elementary School re-opened as a state of the art facility in August of 2001 after renovations completed as a result of the Scottsdale Unified School District’s commitment to provide the finest learning environment to the families of Scottsdale Homes for Sale.
The principal, Sheila Miller, can take pride that Cochise Elementary embodies the goal of creating lifelong, independent learners by teaching. She has created a school environment that promotes parent involvement and a sense of community. The extra programs such as band, and community service really make this school stand out. The Kids Club a before and after school club, comes along-side the parents by providing a fun and learning focused time for the students. They can be exposed to sports, the arts and homework help.
