Horizon High School‘s mission is to create a community of learners focused on learning and culture. Horizon, located at 5601 East Greenway Road, is in the Paradise Valley Unified School District. Staff, students, parents and community serve as active stakeholders in the decision-making processes. They believe partnerships are essential for a focus on 21st Century skills and global mindedness and technology is an essential tool to enhance learning. Horizon offers many Advanced Placement and Honors classes to challenge students. Dual enrollment is also available for students wishing to start college classes while still in high school.
Horizon High School has a vast assortment of extracurricular activities that support a wide spectrum of interests for the students. Athletics include basketball, badminton, cheer, football, softball and many more. A variety of visual and performing arts classes offered include painting, ceramics, marching bands, concert choir, guitar, piano, music theory, theatre and dance. Each year, the school produces concerts, art shows, and other performances for the community.
